Paige Morgan-Foy - Director of Dance
Paige has been involved in theater and dance since high school and has made it part of her working life. While living in Sanford, NC, she worked for Lee County Parks and Recreation, where she was instrumental in re-establishing the adult and children’s theater program. Having received her NC State Childcare Credentials, she served as the PK Dance Director for High Point Ballet and Taylor Dance companies, where she worked with the pre-school-aged children and coached the older dancers on character rolls. In her “spare time,” Paige gets involved with costume creation and has performed many character roles herself, including Peter Pan. Paige has served as Director of Dance with Wesleyan Teaching Studios for the past seven years having taught PK through 4th grade classes. She also oversees all aspects of program development and spring recitals.
Julianna Luchau - Dance Instructor
Julianna graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a B.A. in Dance. She has also studied modern dance on merit scholarship at the Martha Graham School of Dance in New York. She has served with various arts organizations utilizing her skills and training in classical ballet pedagogy as well as her training in jazz, tap, modern/contemporary and worship/liturgical dance. Julianna brings her artistic spirit, organizational skills, and love of children to Dance at Wesleyan to work with the middle and high school students.
Hunter Burris - Private Instructor/Consultant
A native of Kinston, North Carolina, Hunter began her classical dance training in Greenville, North Carolina, with Joseph Carow, ballet master at East Carolina University. She continued her study of dance at the Raleigh School of Ballet under the direction of Ann Vorus, where she was a member of the Carolina Ballet Theatre, founding company of Carolina Ballet. She received intensive summer study training on honors scholarships at the Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet and Richmond Ballet. She was also a founding member of the Greenville Civic Ballet. In 2002, Hunter graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Journalism & Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While attending UNC-CH, she performed with the Duke University Ballet Ensemble under the direction of Tyler Walters. From 2002 to 2004, she served as the Marketing & Event Specialist for Duke University Institute of the Arts and Duke University Dance Program. Hunter has her CECDI certification to teach dance to young children and taught pre-ballet and ballet classes at The Ballet School of Chapel Hill and Little People’s Creative Workshop. She also served as the dance and fine arts instructor at St. Teresa’s Academy in Kansas City, Missouri. Hunter is a pre-ballet, lyrical and ballet technique instructor at Starz Elite Dance Center in High Point. She also serves as the studio’s Associate Director. Hunter continues her dance education in the summers by attending intensive teacher workshops with renowned ballet master, Finis Jhung in New York City. She is excited to be a part of Wesleyan Teaching Studio dance program.
